So last night I took a break from packing and sorting. I sewed the second third of my Nickelmania. I planned out how I was going to put together a baby quilt. I figured out the backing and what to buy when I go to the Quiltery this Saturday.
I go to my weekly Client Services meeting and there is food and balloons. I’m a sucker for balloons. Love them. They were congratulating me on my engagement. It was fun being the center of attention. It was like it was my birthday otherwise known to my son as “all about me day”.
I'm packing. Packing up my stash. Packing up my life. I'm engaged to a wonderful Christian man and we will be getting married in March. I'll be moving to help him with his work. It involves moving half way around the world. I'm finishing up some projects and then selling my sewing machine here to prayerfully provide the funds to buy a new machine since mine isn't 220. I inherited stash and it’s taking six paper boxes to ship it all. Then I’ll add at least three more with tools and books and such.
So I bought a charm pack to use for the Nickelmania workshop. I played with the layout when I go home since I had all of one of my fabrics in a corner. Here's the progress so far.
I had a wonderful day today. It started this morning with my monthly quilt meeting and workshop on Nicklemania. Always FUN. But when I got home and checked the mail I saw it had arrived in the mail! What? My prize and it's awesome. Thank you Melinda. The header on her blog will make you want to use every inch of your fabric.
